Schlüter-KERDI-LINE-VARIO – flexible linear drainage
Our flexible system solution for floor-level showers comprises the KERDI-LINE-VARIO-H drainage unit, a drain adapter with integrated sealing collar and a wave-shaped drain, rotatable through 360 degrees and with built-in odour trap. This drainage system is combined with our length-adjustable shower profiles in the two elegant, minimalist design profiles COVE and WAVE.

Flexibly adaptable in length and height
An elegant drainage solution for any situation – our two strikingly designed drainage profiles COVE and WAVE, in both lengths (120 cm and 180 cm), can be cut to size with millimetre precision:
Use the cutting gauge included in the set to cut the profile to size quickly and easily with a handsaw to precisely match the specific conditions on site.
The two supplied end caps create a neat, visually appealing finish.
By underlaying with thin-bed mortar, the height of the profiles can also be altered and adjusted to the thickness of the flooring.
Schlüter-KERDI-LINE-VARIO COVE
KERDI-LINE-VARIO COVE is available in lengths of 120 cm and 180 cm. This cove-shaped drainage profile can be cut to length and can be used with the KERDI-LINE-VARIO-H drain set.
Drainage takes place from the centre via a visible drain opening with a width of just 8 mm and a length of 140 mm. The cove-shaped design enables you to create linear drainage in floor level showers with an especially slim and unobtrusive drain profile.
The profile comes with two end caps and is available in either V4A brushed stainless steel or powder coated aluminium with a textured TRENDLINE finish.
Schlüter-KERDI-LINE-VARIO WAVE
As the name suggests, KERDI-LINE-VARIO WAVE is a W-shaped drainage profile used as a shower channel with our adjustable KERDI-LINE-VARIO-H drain set. This design profile is also available in 120 cm and 180 cm lengths and can be cut to length at both ends.
The water drains from the centre through a drain opening with a length of 140 mm and a width that can vary depending on the version. The narrowest opening is provided by the WAVE 34 in aluminium at 14 mm, while the WAVE 42 is considerably wider at 24 mm (aluminium version) or 25 mm (stainless steel version). The drain opening of this profile is elegantly concealed by a removable cover panel.
The profile comes with two end caps and is also available in V4A brushed stainless steel or powder coated aluminium with a textured TRENDLINE finish.

Award-winning Design
The jury of the renowned Red Dot Award: Product Design was also impressed by our system; the Schlüter-KERDI-LINE-VARIO was awarded the Red Dot 2021 in the Bathrooms and Sanitary Equipment category. The award went to the combination of the KERDI-LINE-VARIO-H drain with the WAVE drainage profile.
VARIO drain technology
Schlüter-Systems is well known for its flat-structured drainage solutions – and now with KERDI-LINE-VARIO-H we have brought a smart further development and refinement to it.
Our highly efficient wave-shaped outlet has been combined with a new drain adapter and an integrated waterproofing collar. You can combine this perfectly with our COVE or WAVE shower channels to create flexible linear drainage in floor-level showers with unobtrusive drainage channels.
Rotatable through 360°
The horizontal two-piece KERDI-LINE-VARIO-H drain unit comprises a drain body and a drain adapter.
The drain body consists of a wave-shaped outlet that is rotatable by 360° and has an odour trap built into the body.
Drain adapter with integrated collar
The drain adapter with integrated KERDI-FLEX collar comes fully inserted and waterproofed into the sealed wave shaped drain and is secured with a clamping ring.
The wave shaped drain can be rotated through 360° by loosening the clamping ring, which makes the linear drainage adaptable to any connection configuration in the existing building.
High-performance wave-shaped drain outlet
The KERDI-LINE-VARIO linear drainage system can be installed universally in a central position in the floor but is particularly suitable for use close to a wall.
When water passes through the wave-shaped design, a highflow rate is achieved through the floor drain, which creates a self-cleaning effect.

Practical: Sets and accessories
The all-inclusive KERDI-LINE-VARIO package naturally includes the appropriate accessories. When using our COVE or WAVE shower channels with thicker tile coverings, we offer both a narrow and a wide frame extension with the KERDI-LINE-VARIO-DSE.
For the WAVE 42 profile series, the matching KERDI-LINE-VARIO-S hair trap is also available.
And when we speak of 'matching', all products in the KERDI-LINE-VARIO sets H40 and H50 are a perfectly coordinated match. They not only contain a drain adapter and a flexible waterproofing collar, but also include a helpful sound insulation component.
